About Chow King

This nice little Filipino place also serves some Chinese fare. Service is good, the food is really good and the pricing is extremely competitive. We'd recommend this restaurant to any foodie, if for nothing else then to sample genuine well prepared Filipino food.

Driving Directions

Chow King is easy to spot on your right when you're driving the short stretch from Ramada Junction to The Center. There's a small right turn right there, and parking is available right in front of the restaurant.

Global Filipino? This Restaurant Chain need to shut down or change mangement.

Compiling all the list of negative feedback and criticism this restaurant needs to shutdown or change its management. It will not only affect the international credibility of the restaurant, but will mostly reflect a bad image for all Filipino entrepreneur who would like to open similar venture. Considering any prospective foreign investors instead opening a deal with a Filipino they will just deal with other countries such as Japanese, Chinese, etc... In reality they have higher standard of discipline, commitment and mush more profitable to invest in. Now with this business fiasco; what is the impact? credibility is at steak.. We Filipino are telling to the world we are unable to Lead/Manage, run or compete successful a profitable business. Are we just going to be laborers and workers to the world ?....When do we start cleaning up this mess? You will agree it take years to blood and sweat just to build up your name...

we ordered, asked the waitress if they have kangkong with shrimp paste, she said none, but saw it served to other table who arrived later than us. when our food was served, they gave us siomai & 2 plain rice which we did not order & the chicken & tofu which we ordered was not served. while we were eating, a waitress just dropped a saucer of chili on our table but we did not ask for it, then i noticed that it was actually the customer on the table next to us who was asking for that, because i heard he followed it up to one of the crews. and the drinks...whew...they arrived when i was already done with my meal after 3 follow-ups. when we billed-out at the cashier, without asking from which table we came from, the manager just punched on the register and we were surprised that our order reached more than a hundred, then when i get the receipt and reviewed the items, the bill was not ours. definitely more training needed for the entire staff! chowking al saad is better in terms of service.

Chowking Salwa branch advertised that "We Deliver" but when you asked for delivery and you speak Tagalog, don't expect they will deliver it to your home unless your place is just beside the restaurant!
Yesterday, we asked for deliver but they said NO because they only cover Doha Area and my office is next to Q-Tel Tower so it's already West Bay.. Okay, fine! then today, I asked for delivery in Bin Omran just next to OWWA & Little Manila but then the crew said it's not covered! That is insane!!! Since when Bin Omran is not part of DOha at all? in fact, it's only one RA distance between Chowking & my place? gosh!!! or maybe the crew is JUST LAZY to deliver!!! Next time, better be specific what particular STREET you accept delivery and NOT saying within DOHA!!! or else, buy Doha Map so you will know til where is the coverage of DOHA!!!
About the food, their Kare2x is sucks.. worse is the "avocado juice" me & friends dine there and I ordered avocado juice not vanilla & cream... It is too sweet & they put something that tastes like vanilla.. ewww! very disappointed.. They gulaman also is too sweet.. their halo2x, you can bare with it! The service is not so good either. there are staffs who are snob! I suggest that when they hire next time, make sure your staff is well oriented with the company & what it does.. hindi yong nag-aastang mga amo ang mga crew!
The totality, it SUCKS!!!

Alright food, service and ambience

I am a huge fan of Chowking in Dubai and was looking forward to it opening up in Doha. But I was quite disappointed. The menu is similar but not the same. The food was alright in comparison. I made the mistake of taking a table on the first floor of the restaurant, where the service was slow. I reckon it is better on the ground floor.
