About Thai Snack House

Thai Snack House is an extremely popular joint that exclusively serves Thai cuisine. The ambience isn't much to write home about, but the tasty recipes combined with very competitive pricing has made it a hot favorite with fans of Thai food, particularly with the younger crowd.

Driving Directions

Once you turn right on to Al Nasr Street just before hitting Ramada Junction, look out for a brightly lit gate on your left. That's the entrance to Thai Snack House. It's easily missed if you're not careful, so look out.

HEART WARMING
by on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 1:48:59 PM

I have been wanting to eat some good food and the my friends and I decided to try the Thai snack we truly enjoyed the food but the service just seemed rushed and it wasn't as warm and welcoming. The prices are good though and the portions are great.

Don't be fooled by the setting, especially if you're used to dining in the hotels etc.Lovely food, we ordered way too much,(the portions are quite large). I visited with my Dad and we both have good appetites and didn't manage to finish it all. 2 soups, 2 mains,1 rice and 1 pad Thai. Don't expect glitz and glamour, but if you want decent Thai food, I'd highly recommend this restaurant. A hidden gem in Qatar!

Cheap good Thai food
by on Saturday, April 10, 2010 5:44:50 PM

It is certainly more authentic than most other Thai restaurants in town. Over-crowded during the weekends, it can be quite hard to get a parking spot and the service ain't that great. The food is really tasty but the staff don't quite understand the concept of "healthy" or "vegetarian". I explicitly requested for less oil and no meat/seafood. They either didn't understand me or didn't care. Having said that, I repeat, the food was real good!

Great Thai food for the price!
by on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 8:49:20 AM

Thai Snack is a great deal for the quality of food. The chicken pad thai was excellent. The fried morning glory was delicious and in my opinion better than the spinach which was also really good. The dumplings were a bit strange in appearance (sort of neon yellow) and taste and had bits of bone in them... The Sa La Pao (white buns filled with chicken) were good but not as good as they typically are in other dim sum restaurants. The Thai Iced Tea with milk was perfect and amazing for the price of only QR 5! I definitely recommend this place when you want Thai food--either to dine in or take out! :)
